The Split Soul: Erica’s Story of Spiritual Disconnection and Soul Healing

When a soul is fragmented, life feels muted. Erica’s story is one of remembering, healing and coming home to herself — and perhaps, yours is too.

There are stories we carry in silence. Stories of not feeling quite here...Of sensing everything, yet feeling nothing. Of living life on the outside, trying to feel like we belong.
This was the quiet ache Erica was living with when she arrived to me for private healing. From the moment she entered my practice, I could feel it: a deep sense of absence. Her energy was present… but thin, fragmented — as though part of her had never fully arrived.
The Symptoms of Spiritual Disconnection
Erica was experiencing many symptoms my most sensitive clients share:
Chronic anxiety
Exhaustion and adrenal depletion
Looping thoughts, mental noise
Emotional numbness
A feeling of watching life from the outside
Deep spiritual disconnection
She told me, with tears just behind her eyes:
“I feel everything — but I don’t feel me.”
She had become porous to the world, absorbing everything but herself. The more she felt, the more she disconnected. And what hurt most — she couldn’t name why.
What I Found in Her Energy Field
What Erica was experiencing is what I call a split soul — when the soul essence has not fully anchored into the body, often due to trauma, birth imprinting, or long-term emotional distress.
In Erica’s case, I sensed that her soul essence never fully landed at birth. From the very beginning, part of her had remained elsewhere — hesitant, unanchored.
Her field was fragile. Thin. Fragmented.
This made her:
Hyper-sensitive
Energetically overwhelmed
Emotionally volatile
Constantly seeking ground, but never finding it
She was here — but not fully here.
This is common among highly empathic, spiritually aware women — especially those carrying past-life trauma, ancestral grief or who have experienced early emotional shock.
For souls who haven’t fully incarnated, the density of human life — the heaviness of emotion, the intensity of physical sensation, the pressure of expectation — can feel almost unbearable. They remember, on a deep cellular level, the lightness of their energetic form. And being here, in a body, can feel foreign, unfamiliar and exhausting.
These women often live in a state of constant overwhelm. Not because they are weak, but because they are deeply attuned — and never fully resourced.
They may find themselves constantly searching outside of themselves for calm, clarity, and connection — turning to courses, healers, teachings or relationships in an attempt to feel anchored. But until their soul essence is fully incarnated, nothing truly sticks.
They often struggle to finish things. To stay present. To feel safe in groups. To tolerate noise, conflict, or chaotic environments. Highly empathic and intuitive, they absorb everything and everyone — but cannot find themselves in the mix.
This is not dysfunction. It is a sign of dislocation. A spiritual misplacement that can be restored.
That’s why calm anchorage is essential. To feel safe in your body, you must first have space to be seen, held, and reconnected. And in most cases, this process cannot be done alone. It requires a trusted, experienced practitioner — someone who can gently call your soul fragments home, guide your nervous system into repair, and reweave you into wholeness.
We don’t always call it disconnection. But we feel it: the deep, unexplainable sense that we’re not quite in our bodies. That we are not safe here.
Erica's Healing Journey
So we began the sacred work of remembrance and restoration.
In her private healing session, we:
Recalled soul fragments still floating in the energetic field
Cleared past-life trauma and karmic residue
Anchored her soul essence back into her body with care
Repaired the auric field and nervous system
Invited her higher self to gently land — fully and safely
And slowly, something shifted.
She began to feel. She cried. Softened. Breathed. Her voice changed. Her eyes became clearer. Her spirit, steadier.
“I finally feel like I belong,” she whispered. “In my body. In my life. The noise is gone.”
It wasn’t dramatic. But it was sacred.
A quiet, powerful return.

Signs Your Soul Essence May Be Split or Not Fully Anchored in the Body
Many women unknowingly walk through life in a state of energetic fragmentation. If you’ve never fully felt safe in your body, or your sensitivity feels like a burden instead of a gift, your soul essence may still be waiting to land.
Here are some common signs:
Feeling emotionally numb or disconnected, even during meaningful moments
A sense of not belonging — in your life, your body, or the world
Chronic fatigue, anxiety, or looping mental chatter
Heightened sensitivity to noise, light, energy, or other people
Difficulty accessing your intuition or making clear decisions
Feeling like life is happening to you — not through you
This doesn’t mean you’re broken. It means part of you may have simply never fully arrived — and healing is possible.
